As Seen on TV Swivel Sweeper
There are many cordless floor and carpet sweepers on the market and one popular version is the cordless swivel sweeper.
Cordless sweepers are preferred to vacuum cleaners and other floor cleaners because they allow easy access to hard to reach places and they are lightweight and easy to store.
However, In addition to this, the cordless Swivel Sweeper also offers many other features such as rotating brushes and a 360 degree cleaning head. Weighting in at just 2lbs, it is also one of the lightest sweepers on the market.
The unit uses NiMH battery and charger which provides a lasting charge of 45 minutes which should be enough for a few cleaning sessions in a typical household before needing a recharge.
Dust and dirt is collected in a tray and provides easy disposability. The tray is easily accessible and can be cleaned and reused providing long lasting durability.
Cordless sweepers allow for greater manoeuvrability and they are also more flexible and easier to use than alternatives such as vacuum cleaners. This means that you can use the sweeper in anywhere you want without having to be limited by wires and plugs!
Although the cordless swivel sweeper is a relatively new product, there are already many happy customers and it has also been featured in magazines and TV shows.

Another Review of the Swivel Sweeper, As Seen On TV
This article will provide an independent review of the Swivel Sweeper, as seen on TV.
Most people were probably introduced to the Swivel Sweeper like me, through an infomercial on TV. The Swivel Sweeper is touted as a cordless, lightweight sweeper which works on all floor types. It features a quiet motor and four rotating brushes. The head of the sweeper rotates 360 degrees for easy maneuvering around furniture and other obstacles.
I broke down and bought one about three months ago. I paid $19.95 plus S&H. When my sweeper arrived, I was anxious to give it a test run. First thing I noticed is that it is definitely light - only two pounds! I tried it out on my hardwood floors and it worked great - it actually has sliders on the bottom instead of wheels, so it really does float over hardwood and laminate surfaces.
My floors like most, have crumbs, some pet hair and dust bunnies. The Swivel Sweeper took care of all of these. It is great for hard to vacuum places like under tables and chairs. I no longer have to waste 10 minutes moving chairs to sweep for 2 minutes.
One thing that is a bit of a chore is cleaning the sweeper. Emptying the collection tray is easy enough, just slide over 2 tabs but then you must clean the four cleaning heads. These things get coated in hair/fur/dust bunnies. The Swivel Sweeper does come with a special cleaning tool made specifically for this job. The tool works ok but doing it by hand seems to be faster but pretty gross.
One complaint I had heard many times was about the battery on the sweeper, which I found to run for about 30-35 minutes out of the box instead of the 45 minutes advertised on TV. Many people seem to be overcharging their batteries and thus effectively killing it after a couple months. I have been careful to take my sweeper off the charger after allowing it to charge for the recommended charging time. I also try to drain the battery fully before recharging.
All in all, the sweeper has certainly been worth $20 and I would be willing to buy another one even if the battery does go out on it. For quick tasks in the kitchen and living room, it is just so much easier to grab the Swivel Sweeper rather than dragging out my vacuum.

Shark vacuum cleaners are made by a company called Euro-Pro. Euro-Pro itself manufacturers many different appliances and used to manufacture its own line of vacuum cleaners, but now it sells them under the Shark vacuum cleaner brand. What follows is a quick summary of the vacuum cleaners by Shark.
Some know Euro-Pro vacuum cleaners from the many 'infomercials' on TV. Whilst 'infomercials' can engender a somewhat down-market image on the products they promote, it would be a mistake to think that a Shark vacuum cleaner is a second-rate product. Shark vacuums are sold in many respectable retailers such as Sears; these retailers have a reputation to protect and will only sell products they believe will not tarnish their name. Finally, for those who use the web, Shark vacuum cleaners can be bought online very easily. Many retailers now use the web to sell their products and one big advantage about buying a Shark vacuum cleaner is just how many retailers sell Euro-Pro vacuums at very competitive prices. Spare parts are also easy to come by on the internet.
Of the many consumers who have bought and used a Shark vacuum cleaner, the vast majority will attest to the suction power of these vacuums. Many Shark vacuum cleaners come with HEPA filters that are washable and some vacuums come as specialist pet-hair removers. Shark also makes bagless and cyclonic vacuum cleaners.

Shark vacuum cleaners tend to be cheaper than equivalent machines with other brands, so they can be a good choice for those wanting to save money.

The bagless units seem to have smaller dust cups than other brands; anyone who's used a bagless vacuum know what a drag it is to empty the dust cup. There have been reports of over-heating. Some models of Shark Vacuums tend to clog rather easily. However, the most serious complaint has been about customer service; either from the retailer or the company itself. It's very hard to verify if this complaint is justified. People complain about a lack of service even when a retailer appears to be bending over backwards to find a solution to the problem.
Shark vacuum cleaners are a good buy if you're looking for a cheaper vacuum that has suction power comparable to other, more expensive, brands. But, because you're paying less, you should expect the appliance to have fewer features and attachments. When you buy a Shark vacuum cleaner you're getting a good vacuum cleaner at a fair price, if you want the best, then you should probably look at buying another brand.

Another Review of The Shark Sweepers
Euro-Pro make a number of different appliances, however its vacuum cleaners are sold under the brand name of Shark. Shark vacuum cleaners have received some negative reviews about some its models but this shouldn't necessarily deter you from buying its vacuums.
Shark vacuum cleaners are mass produced units that are sold at substantially lower prices than their competitors. They're found in large department stores and can be readily bought online. Also, parts and bags are very easy and inexpensive to buy.
Now let's talk about those negative reviews. The complaints are mainly about its canisters. There have been complaints about them clogging and overheating. To make matters worse many customers have complained about the poor level of customer service from both the retailer and the company. Complaints about company service are notoriously difficult to make a judgment on; after all, many customers will still complain, even if the retailer replaces the vacuum at no cost.
However, Shark upright vacuum cleaners fair rather better. The Shark Infinity NV30 is the company's flagship model. It's a bagless, cyclonic vacuum cleaner. So, if you don't like bagless, then the Shark vacuum cleaner isn't for you. However, if you do like cyclonic vacuums but can't justify the spending the large amount of cash required for a Dyson or Hoover WindTunnel vacuum, then you might be interested in what Shark has to offer. It retails for considerably less than either of them - half the price of the Dyson DC07 Original.
It also comes with a lifetime, washable filter, so there won't be any additional running costs on either bags or filters.
The Infinity comes with a large 12 amp motor and a 12" cleaning surface - a little on the small side but okay for most homes (14" for the Dyson and 15" for the Hoover). Its weight is just over 19 lbs which is the same as the Dyson Original. Other good features include; 5 height adjustments; furniture guard bumper; edge cleaning bristles; and an ergonomic grip on the handle. The power cord is 25 foot in length which is rather short; the Dyson comes with 37 feet, although the Hoover WindTunnel only comes with 28 feet.
Another shortcoming for some will be that it does not have automatic carpet height adjustment unlike the Dyson and Hoover. But, it does have a feature lacking in both the Dyson and Hoover; a headlight!
But seriously, the Shark infinity upright vacuum cleaner does lack some of the feature of its competitors and some of its specification do look a little under par when compared to the others, however, it does cost half as much. Not everyone needs automatic carpet height adjustment and a cord length of 18 feet will be perfectly acceptable for some.
As I've stated already, vacuum cleaner reviews are more favorable towards the Infinity. Customers overwhelming vouch for its great suction power and most are extremely happy with their purchase. Whether you decide to buy a Shark vacuum cleaner will be a judgment call on the money you'll save against some features you'll have to forgo.
